New Pampered Chef Products I'm excited about

Okay, I'm really excited about this. I love Avocado and have been eating a lot of them during my pregnancy and I love how easy this tool will make eating them. It's only $6 and can be washed in the dishwasher (which would be great if I had a dishwasher).

This is the new collapsible serving bowl. I love that it breaks down so you don't have to try and store a huge bowl in the cabinet. It's great too because when it's collapsed down you can still use it as a chip and dip dish. Cool huh? I wasn't crazy about the color at first, but it's has grown on me. Oh and it's an 8 quart bowl that comes with a lid and is only $25 which is awesome.
This is so yummy. I had it with Moroccan Chicken Pita Wedges. So good. I would even use this to make a classic favorite of Chicken salad a little special. You need to try this. It's $4 for a 2 oz bottle.
I love my Saute pan that I got in my starter kit and was really excited that they came out with a new one that is 10". The original is only 8". This pan is my go to pan and I use it all the time. It's a little pricey at $75 but has a lifetime warranty so it's worth every dollar.

So there you have it...my new favorite products. I love just about all their products, but these are some of the ones that I'm excited to be getting shortly. Oh and if anyone wants some yummy recipes let me know and I'll get those to you.

Just watching tv

Here are some pictures of Sam this morning sitting in his own recliner chair watching cartoons. He went into the living room turned on the tv and climbed into his chair. It was too cute not to take pictures of so here they are.

It's Saul Good again.

Tonight I had the opportunity to go back to Saul Good again. This time I ate with my adopted parents Peg and Fred and a few other people. It was a good time and the food was wonderful yet again. Seriously people if you live around the Lexington area go check it out. It officially opens to the public on Monday March 10th.

Here's a list of the things that I've tried or had a bite of and thought was excellent: (I did not eat all of this tonight...I may be pregnant, but there's no way I could eat all of this in one sitting!)

Thai Pizza
Spinach Salad
Veggie Pizza
Hawaiian Burger with Chicken and French fries
Texas Burger with French Fries
Chicken and Waffles
Southwestern Dip with blue corn tortilla chips
Beer cheese Dip with celery, crackers, pita chips, and cucumbers
Half Baked chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce
Chocolate Fondue (Dark chocolate) with bananas, pretzels, strawberries, waffle slices
Chocolate Pizza
Chocolate popcorn

There are so many more yummy things I can't wait to try. I love that everything is made from scratch and the quality of the food. Seriously it's like having a homemade meal without doing any work.

The place is also beautiful for those that are looking for something a little nicer than the sterile modern looks a lot of places are doing lately. There are beautiful chandeliers, stained glass windows, ornate mirrors, and rustic looking furniture. Also they only have tv's at the bar area which is great since you can actually have a conversation without being distracted by whatever may be on the tv.

Probably the best features of the place is that it's kid friendly. It has a kids menu, high chairs, and changing tables in both the mens and womens restaurant. Being a mom it's great to know that if we eat here Todd can help out with diapers. :)

Ok, so you can tell I'm sold on this place and I'm glad Todd got a job working there.

Here's the link if you want to check it out. The menu isn't exactly right on line, but it'll give you an idea of more of the food there.

(sorry no pictures of the yummy food. I'll have to take pictures next time.)

How it's going...

Well Sam's fever is finally gone. After almost 2 full days of a high fever, tears, and all out fussiness he is finally starting to act like himself. I'm thankful for that since it breaks my heart to see him feeling bad. If only I could get him to eat more than a few bites of food then he really would be back up to full speed again. Todd is still struggling with his cold/allergies/not sure what he has. He's starting to feel on the up and up or at least that what he's saying. In an attempt to help them feel better I cleaned the house yesterday. I washed all the sheets, did laundry, scrubbed the surfaces they both touch and sprayed disinfectant on all of Sam's toys. Today I'm exhausted because of all the work I did yesterday. I should have known better than to work so hard, but I hate seeing my guys feeling so bad.

Besides being worn out I've got one really red puffy eye. Not sure what that's about but I'm going to blame it on being preggers. I wore makeup the other day and I'm sure it's probably just a reaction to it. Pregnancy changes your skin and I've had really dry skin and makeup no matter how sensitive it is always seems to make it worse. I knew that but decided to wear the makeup anyways since sometimes a girl just wants to feel put together and polished. I'll be glad to have these small irritations gone in a couple of months.

Saul Good

Todd just started his second job at Saul Good. It's a restaurant that serves yummy food and is located near Fayette Mall. We were lucky enough to go as a family and try out some food before the place officially opens. Here are some pictures of Sam enjoying his chicken tenders and French fries. If your in the Lexington area I recommend you look this place up and go try out their food. The food is wonderful.

(His table placemat is a stick in place disposable placemat made by neat solutions. They have various designs and cost about $8 for a pack of 20 and are sold at Target and Babies R' Us. I totally recommend these if you eat out or often go places that don't have placemats for kiddos. Oh and they are recyclable too. I'm still trying to find good disposable bibs so if you know any let me know as I'm running low on Shout Laundry spray.)
