and the good news is....its not mono
Friday I started feeling bad. achy and feverish. My joints hurt like I had arthritis or something. I didn't think anything about it since it was warm in the house and I figured I just over did it for the day and that's why I was achy. Saturday however I got worse. I still had the fever and the aches, but I also started having cold sweats, vomiting, blacking out, feeling dizzy, and generally worse. I let Todd know and he came home early from work to take care of the kids so I could sleep. Sunday still feeling bad. In fact I felt worse than the last two days except that my throat was hurting, my neck was stiff, and my ears were hurting. My temp got up to 103.3 and thats when we decided we needed to do something about it. We dropped the kids off at my moms house and went a medical clinic with weekend hours. Thankfully my mom put the bill on her credit card because apparently when you don't have insurance you have to pay in full at the time that they see you. (I know talk about ridiculous...cause if you can't afford to have insurance you sure as heck can't afford that kind of bill) Anyways they did a strep test and it came back negative and then they did a mono test and it also came back negative. So they determined that I have tonsillitis. Fun huh? So now I'm on some hard core antibiotics and get to take tyelonl every 6 hours until my fever breaks (it's down to about 101.5 still). I'm starting to feel a little bit better. Just really tired and my throat hurts a lot, but at least it's not mono and I'm not contagious so thats good. So if you think about it take a minute and say a prayer for me as I need to be feeling better as soon as possible so Todd doesn't miss anymore work.

Thoughts
I have a few thoughts on some things so here they are:
Me-
Me-
- I feel like I'm turning into a candidate for that show What Not to Wear. You know what I mean...the women with little to now style who have forgotten how to look nice or how to do their hair because they are so busy doing a million other things. Yeah that's me. I wear the same basic things all the time. Khaki pants, t shirt, and flip flops or to mix it up the khaki pants, tank top, and button up shirt over top and flip flops. lol. Oh and my hair is always in a ponytail. I'm ready for a change. I just don't know how to do it. Anyone want to go shopping with me or give me some ideas on haircuts? I mean it. I think I need some help since I'm obviously stuck in a rut.
- I had all three of my Pampered Chef shows for August cancel or reschedule for a later date. Stinks, but not the end of the world. I'm hoping that September stays strong since I can't wait to tell everyone about the new products.
- I officially started a nanny job. The sweet little girl came to my house today and we had a good time. It'll be interesting to see how things work out and how much more fun it will be at my house with 3 kids instead of 2. :)
- We canceled our cable. I think I may have said this before. At first it was really hard to do, but it got easier with time. I'm actually enjoying not watching so much tv. Plus any of the shows that we really like (Monk, Psych, Grey's Anatomy, Lost, etc...) we can watch for free online.
- I also canceled our newspaper subscription since it cost too much and I wasn't actually getting a chance to read every paper every day anyways. Well, the paper called me and told me about their new special which is only $4.99 a month. You get the Sunday paper and the rest of the weeks papers are e-editions that you read online. Awesome. No more wasted papers, a price I can live with, and again the convince of using the internet.
- Did you know you can donate your old yearbooks? I found out that you can. Since Todd and I both were at Asbury the same years we have duplicates of the same yearbooks. I called up the Asbury College Library and asked if they accepted them and the librarian said they did. They put them in archives so others can use/view them. I thought that was pretty neat since that cleared up some space in my bookcase and I made a donation to my old college.
- Still the best husband ever despite my constant nagging and endless amounts of errands I send him on. Someone needs to give this guy a Klondike bar. :)
- Oh my, still dealing with temper tantrums and the like. We have to constantly remind him to try and use his words and to stop throwing things when he gets mad. Every day is a new challenge.
- Sam also loves walking backwards, walking so fast that he trips himself, and dancing to the Leona Lewis cd. He also loves wearing his sandals, playing outside in the sprinkler, and making huge messes for me to clean up. :)
- She officially turned 2 months old on August 2nd. She also went to the doctor for her shots and to get weighed and all that jazz. Here are her stats:
- 23 1/4 inches long (75th percentile)
- 11 lbs 10 ozs weight (75th percentile)
- Sophia has grown about 4 inches and gained about 4 lbs in the last 6 weeks. I can't believe how big my baby girl is getting already.
- She is also becoming more and more alert and staying awake for long stretches of time. She even spends time in her exersaucer and bouncy chair admiring her toys. :)
