Too cute not to post

Here is Sophia in her Saul Good onsie. In case you don't know what Saul Good is it's the restaurant that Todd works at. (The link for the menu and stuff is in the links to check out section.) The owners thought it would be cute to get a onsie for Sophia and I couldn't agree more. I'll have to get a picture of her in her onsie and Todd in his work shirt. Next time I'll have to put a pink bow on her head or something since black makes her look like a little boy. lol.

The last two pictures are from yesterday. Isn't she precious? After a long day of running errands and cleaning she was tired and wanted to cuddle with her teddybear blanket.

Oldies but goodies

So I finally uploaded the pictures from my cell phone to my computer. I had two years worth of pictures that I hadn't gotten around to saving. I'm glad I did because it will be time for an up grade on my phone soon. Anyways here are some pictures ranging from June 2006 until now. Enjoy.

Train set

This is the awesome train set we just got for Sam today for his birthday. lol. Yeah we were late in getting his gift, but we honestly weren't sure what to get him since he got so many great toys from everyone else. We were at Once Upon a Child (it's a kids consignment store) and say this and new it would go great with the track that he just got. Best part it was only $10. Brand new this retails for $49.99. Anyways we were pretty excited. It's only missing the little plastic sheet that is suppose to be a parking lot, but so not a big deal. I wish we had more room in our little place so we could get him a train table too for his new train sets. Oh well...at least he's got this cool train set to play with.

"Off" days

So it's been an interesting couple of days. Sam and Sophia have both been "off" and having a fussy time. Yesterday I couldn't get Sam to do anything without him having major tears every time. Anyways after a stressful day of constant tears and anger issues from him I decided to give him a little treat to try and perk him up. Here he is with his dessert of banana pudding. I must say he is doing great with that spoon.

This is why Sam has been so fussy. Notice his lovely eye. Yep, he has pink eye. Poor guy couldn't hardly see out of his right eye. He's now getting prescription drops in his eyes 3 times a day for the next week. Hopefully that will clear it up and he'll be back to feeling good. He just got over an ear infection so lets hope after this he'll be healthy again and won't get sick anymore.

Sophia is also 3 weeks old today. Look at my beautiful girl. The picture here is her in Todd's arms this morning. I think she is going through a growth spurt since she is eating all the time and the biggest reason she is awake so much at night. I'm hoping that this trend stops soon so we can all get a little more than 4 1/2 hours of sleep at night. :)

A different note...I got to go out by myself for an hour today for 1 hour. Yahoo!! This was the first time that I have had to be by myself without any kids. I went to Walmart. Fun stuff huh? I didn't get anything fun, but instead got diapers, children's pain meds, kids benadryl, and Sam's pink eye medication. Oh well, at least I got a few minutes to myself which is something that I very much needed.

Something new

As a parent of two kiddos I've been struggling with how to spend time with both kiddos equally during the day. Sophia has her demanding moments but overall is really laid back. Sam on the other hand wants your undivided attention all the time which can get frustrating. He's a typical 2 year old wanting me to explain everything to him and to help him in whatever adventure he's into at the moment. Today I was feeling pretty good and Sophia was sleeping so I decided that I could give my little man my undivided attention for as long as I could. We played with blocks, raced cars on the kitchen floor, played with his barn and animals and most of all we colored today.

This is a new thing for us since I had tried in the past and all he would do is chew on the crayons or throw them. Today however though he decided he was ready to try his hand at coloring. I taped down a large brown paper to our coffee table and let him have at it. He did really well and had a lot of fun until I had to go and answer the phone. When I came back I found a large purple crayon mark on the couch. Needless to say the crayons were put away and we moved on to another activity. I was able to get the coloring out of the couch. Thank goodness I bought the washable crayons from Crayola instead of buying the cheap crayons. Anyways here are a few pictures of my budding artist and his creation.

This is what my beautiful little girl did while her brother and I spent the afternoon coloring and being silly. I am thankful my little girl is so calm and that I was able to give spend so much time with Sam and be silly with him. All in all a good day. Now if I could just find time to eat life would be even better. :)

Sick

I finally caved and went to the doctor today. Turns out my little bout of sickness has turned into a full fledged sinus infection. Nice huh? Hopefully the antibiotics will help and I'll be able to breath again and not feel like I'm talking inside my own head. :) So the moral of this little post....if you are feeling bad don't wait for it to be really bad before you go to the doctor. I probably could have avoided it getting this bad if I had gone to the doctor when I first started feeling bad.

2 years and 2 week check up

Yesterday Todd and I took the kiddos for their check ups. Sam had his 2 year while Sophia had her 2 week check up. Talk about a fun time. Both of them in their diapers and upset because they couldn't be eating or playing with whatever they wanted. Fun times. lol. I'm just glad Todd was there to help. So here's the scoop.

Sam 2 years old:

Height: 36 inches which puts him in the 90% percentile
Weight: 31 1/2 lbs which puts him in the 75% percentile (this could be off since he was screaming and refused to stand on the scale the whole time)

He's still a big kiddo, but it looks like he's pretty darn tall for his age and his weight has leveled off. I'm attributing the weight thing to the fact that he doesn't want to sit still long enough to eat anything. Oh and his ear infection is healing. Dr. says that at the end of the antibiotics that he should be back to normal.

Sophia 2 weeks old:

Height: 20 3/4 inches which puts her in the 70% percentile
Weight: 8lbs 7ozs which puts her in the 60% percentile

She's a little girl. I can't believe how tiny she is compared to how big Sam was a baby. She is doing well though and eating regularly. She has a touch of a cold or something which is incredibly sad to see since she can't really tell me that she isn't feeling good. She is already doing better since we've started giving her nasal saline drops every couple of hours. Here's to hoping that she is better fast.

2 Years how fast it goes!

Just a few photo's of Sam over the last 2 years. I can't believe how big my little man is getting.

The pictures are from when he was born.

These next few are from his first birthday.

Finally here are a few from today. He's 2!

Happy Birthday Sam

Sam turned 2 today and to celebrate we had a small birthday party for him. I wanted to do more, but because of Sophia's arrival less than 2 weeks ago I wasn't able to do more. Oh well, he had fun and next year we can have a big party to celebrate both kiddos. :) Here are some pictures of the event.
